EMF Measurement Surveys
EMF measurement surveys are usually conducted for one of the following applications:
- Evaluation of a commercial space where equipment is being adversely affected by building electrical systems or other interference (EMI) sources, or where concern about human exposure exists.
- Land Use Planning – Site assessment of an open tract to evaluate the impact of power lines or adjacent TV, radio, and cell site transmitters, and to provide guidance in the placement of new construction.
- Evaluation of a business from an exposure assessment perspective. Our AIHA and ISO 17025 Team will evaluate your business operation EMF levels and compare the levels against the ACGIH Electromagnetic Radiation and Fields to Control the exposure to Static Magnetic Fields.
- Assessment of human exposure to industrial RF sources such as heat sealers, dielectric seam welders, induction heating equipment, or microwave dryers.
For power frequency magnetic fields, different types of survey are offered, depending upon the client’s needs. Mapped surveys are suitable for most commercial applications and assessment of outdoor areas near power lines. Data is recorded by a sampling gaussmeter, and processed to produce multicolor 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional presentations of field strength. We use top quality professional equipment, calibrated under NIST Certification and ISO 17025 Protocols, to ensure the highest degree of accuracy.
The fully documented reports that we furnish our clients are an important part of each survey, and provide a point of reference for understanding the significance of measurement data. Each report references applicable exposure standards and equipment interference thresholds.
Each professional EMF survey includes a detailed report comparing the Static Magnetic Fields TLVs of workers whom may be repeatedly exposed day after day without adverse health effects. The reports provided will utilize national and international rationale and research.
